Like we said, Kaia first appears on Virgin River in Season 5, Episode 3, when she finds Mel’s patient Fiona Nickerson, who is pregnant and in trouble on the side of the road. Fiona was trying to get out of areas where wildfires were dangerous, but she went into early labor. Mel and Cameron had to teach Kaia how to give birth over FaceTime while Fiona was still in danger. On Virgin River only! After giving birth to the baby and saving its life with CPR, Kaia met up with the rest of her team and mat Preacher, who was bringing sandwiches to wildfire workers on the front lines. They had some good small talk, but in the end, they went their separate ways. But in Season 5, Jack tells Preach, “You never know when the love of your life is going to walk right into this bar,” and sure enough, Kaia did walk into Jack’s bar later.
They both took tequila shots and held hands after Kaia sat on the bar and swung her feet over. I thought that was rude. The next morning, she woke up with Preacher in what she laughably calls his “sex attic,” which was above the bar.

As was already said, Kandyse McClure, a 43-year-old Canadian actor from the South African city of Durban who plays the new character Kaia in Season 5 of Virgin River, was born Candice McClure. IMDb says that McClure’s acting work began in 1999.
