Platonic is a drama-comedy on Apple TV+ starring Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen. It is a mix of Neighbors, in which Byrne and Rogen played a married couple, When Harry Met Sally, which has long been used as a rule of thumb for when friendships are overshadowed by potential benefits, and a surprisingly nuanced look at the existential terror that comes with early middle age.
Charlie is still mad at Sylvia, so he stays late at work to prove a point. But while he’s there, he drinks too much and dry-humps his coworker Vanessa.
When Sylvia hears this, she doesn’t know how to react, especially since Vanessa is so successful, so she just starts punishing Charlie like a child by throwing a sleepover for all the kids’ friends and, for some reason, Will.
Will suggests that he fix up Sylvia’s garage and turn it into a “additional dwelling unit.” Charlie has to agree because he wants to make up with Sylvia.
Will destroys the whole garage by accident when a raccoon jumps on his head. This forces Charlie and Sylvia to deal with their problems like real adults.
Will tries to get a piece of Reggie and Andy’s side business selling kombucha, but they decide to try to cut him out of the Lucky Penny because he doesn’t agree with them on anything.
