Gran Tursimo, which will be released in theaters this coming weekend, stars Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, and Orlando Bloom, all of whom are teaming up to bring the real-life story of Jann Mardenborough to life. We have, fortunately, thought of everything you would need in order to view this brand-new movie.
Jann (Madekwe), a young man who spends his time playing the video game Gran Turismo, is the protagonist of the sports drama that was directed by Neill Blomkamp. Jann joins forces with former racer Jack Salter (Harbour) and racing CEO Danny Moore (Bloom) in an effort to become a professional racecar driver.

WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE GRAND TURISMO:
As of right now, the only option to view Gran Turismo is to go to a movie theater on Friday, August 25, when it first becomes available to the public. On Fandango, you will be able to locate a showing in your area. If that is not the case, all you can do is wait until it is made available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, Apple, and YouTube, or until it is added to the list of content that can be streamed on Netflix. WHEN WILL THE GRAN TURISMO STREAM BE AVAILABLE? WILL WE BE ABLE TO WATCH GRAN TURISMO ON PRIME VIDEO?
Gran Turismo’s digital release date has not been disclosed, but based on the timing of other Sony Pictures Releasing films, we can probably anticipate when it will be available to rent or buy on services like Prime Video.
Missing, starring Storm Reid, debuted in theaters on January 20 and became available to buy or rent 45 days later, on March 7. If that timeline holds, we should see Gran Turismo for digital platforms in early October 2023.
WHEN WILL NETFLIX HAVE GRAN TURISMO?
Due to an agreement between Netflix and Sony Pictures Releasing, Gran Turismo will soon be available on Netflix. This agreement grants the streaming service exclusive U.S. theatrical distribution rights to all of the studio’s films beginning in 2022.
Gran Turismo’s streaming debut has not been officially confirmed, but we can make an educated guess based on the release schedule of another recent Sony film. About four months after its theatrical debut on April 14, 2023, The Pope’s Exorcist made its way to Netflix on August 16, 2023. If Gran Turismo follows the same trend, we might be able to stream it from the convenience of our own homes by the end of the year 2023.
WHEN WILL MAX AIR GRAN TURISMO?
Since Max is not a Warner Bros. production, you will not be able to play Gran Turismo on it. The service, once known as HBO Max, has also ceased its practice of releasing content directly to streaming services. They have instead instituted a 45-day delay between the film’s theatrical release and its Max distribution.
